Year 4 started their day with a long bus journey down towards Cornwall, they were all so excited to be going on their first school trip of the year to the Eden Project and it was a very successful one. They had the opportunity to become Rainforest Rangers and took part in a workshop which allowed them to learn all about the rainforest’s plants and climate. They also learnt some important survival skills, they all loved it!

When walking around the Rainforest Biome they were able to see why the rainforest is so important to us and explore the ways in which the rainforest can help us to survive. The children were amazed by how many different plants grow within this climate. The children then had their packed lunch with a lovely view of the Mediterranean biome.

They got into the festive spirit with some ice skating; nothing says Christmas like a mid-November ice skate! Huge appreciation for all the children giving it a go, so great to see so many smiling faces.

Over all the children have loved being able to finally get out on a school trip and explore places to support their learning.
